Teams of 4; 35 years and older; 6 regional qualifiers; 2-day grand final; 1 trophy

Golf Digest and title sponsors, BELL’S, bring you the third edition of the Mid Amateur Team Trophy. All you need is three golfing buddies over 35 years, some great team spirit and the appetite for an extra special golfing event. The format is individual Stableford, with three scores counting as your team total. To spice it up, you will be split into two two-balls on the day, to keep an eye on the competition.

The teams will then reunite with a dram of BELL’S in the clubhouse and tally up the team totals. The top two teams from each regional qualifier will win through to the finals to be hosted by the Arabella Western Cape Hotel in March 2010. Entries must be in fourballs, and all players must have official handicaps to qualify for prizes (Rule 4-2g SAGA/12/09).
