Loft 6-iron: 29, PW: 45

Tech Talk The hybrids are designed with a drop-down crown that allows them to be bent for loft and lie-angle adjustments. Like the MX-200, the Y-Tune bar pushes weight to the toe to help mis-hits, and the Exsar graphite shaft comes in regular (65-gram) and light (60-gram) versions. For those seeking custom-shaft options, Mizuno offers 48.

Player comments “This set makes a perfect transition from hybrids to irons. Are the hybrid shafts shorter than normal?” . . . “What you get is a repeatable ball flight with no crazy jumps.” . . . “This club is in the wrong category – and I mean that as a compliment. It has the feel of a player’s blade.”

Hot Mizuno gets major kudos for starting the set with 4- and 5-hybrids that use 4- and 5-iron-length shafts, respectively. We’d like to see more companies follow.

Not A lightweight steel shaft would be nice.

As a semi-amateur having started only a few months ago and averaging around 95 / 18 - i went and had a swing session with these (amongst a handful of heavier sets). All i can say is my swing accuracy AND consistency with the mizuno mx100's out played any club you could throw at me- im 32, 1.9m tall and have a hard swing... I am saving for these ASAP as they are the most forgiving. They will no doubt improve your swing by 30% easy - if u are tired of balls going "leftish"and "rightish" most of the time - straighten up completely with these fellows - worth every penny! HIGHLY reccommended!!!

Appearing on David Letterman was fun, but the coolest thing since winning the US Open is how fans pull for you more. Getting applause every time I walk up to a green. That's different.

In a blog I wrote during the Ryder Cup, I called it "one of the greatest experiences of my professional life." As I said then, I hope I can do this again in 2010.
